FIMM is currently seeking a

Graduate student, PhD candidate in genetics of sleep and brain autoimmunity

We are recruiting an enthusiastic and highly motivated PhD candidate/Graduate student to examine the genetic determinants behind sleep disorders and brain autoimmunity in Dr Hanna M. Ollila’s research group. The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in genetics, molecular biology or any related field. The ideal candidate would have strong knowledge in disease association and interest in sleep and brain autoimmunity. The group’s primary focus is on genetic and environmental risk factors for brain autoimmune and sleep disorders, and in examining basic determinants of sleep in both normal and disease conditions. The researcher will have the possibility to lead international consortia, and discover novel genetic and environmental risk factors for sleep disorders.

Qualifications and experience: Master’s degree in genetics, molecular biology computer science, or related field.

Salary and contract:
The salary will be commensurate with qualifications based on the Finnish university salary (YPJ) system on previous qualifications, experience and performance in the position. The contract will be offered until December 2023, and may be extended.
