About your role

Phase1 is Orion’s paid trainee programme designed for university students, bringing together a large and diverse group of talents from various fields every year. In addition to interesting summer jobs with meaningful projects, the programme offers a variety of events, networking opportunities with other Phase1 Trainees and Orion employees, as well as small group mentoring to support your career! We are looking for a university student to join Orion's Information Management (IM) department as a trainee to explore the opportunities of improving our architecture.

Your key responsibilities

This assignment is your gateway to Orion Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Business Process Management (BPM). In early 2026, Orion will launch an exciting new project to shape the future of Orion’s EA & BPM solutions, including selecting cutting-edge tools and designing effective workflows. As a trainee, you’ll dive right in, testing and evaluating the newest EA and BPM tools with tasks tailored to your interests and background. You’ll play an active role in preparing these solutions for real-world use and explore innovative ways to strengthen our architecture practices. This is your chance to expand your technical skills, learn about architecture, collaborate with Orion IT professionals, and make a real impact in a global company while building a strong foundation for your IT career.

Our Phase1 trainees will be paid a monthly salary of €2370–2625, depending on the number of completed study credits. In addition, the Phase1 trainees are eligible to various employee benefits offered by the company.

Unit description

Information Management (IM) creates digital solutions to build the future. We support Orion Pharma’s business in achieving its strategic targets not only by ensuring the availability of IT services but also by constantly looking for new innovations to match the business needs in terms of digital and data. Our team is 80+ people strong, located in Espoo, Turku, Kuopio, Hanko, Mumbai, and Nottingham.

In your role in Information Management, you will be part of the Development Services team, which is responsible for various IT development services. We will work closely across organizations to support Orion's business in achieving its strategic objectives, not only by ensuring the availability of IT services, but also by continuously seeking new innovations to meet current and future business needs. We have highly motivated people, and a good working atmosphere based on shared values and mutual trust.
