We are looking for a Pharmacovigilance (PV) Trainee in Espoo for the summer 2026. In this Phase1 trainee position, you get to familiarize yourself with pharmacovigilance tasks through a comprehensive induction program. During the orientation, you will also become familiar with other tasks in the pharmacovigilance unit.
During this trainee period, you will be responsible for various tasks, such as receiving and handling of adverse reaction reports in PV database, translating them from Finnish to English, and assisting with other Pharmacovigilance Unit's tasks e.g. informing about PV agreements, archiving documentation, managing risk minimization materials and product information.
This traineeship is planned to last about three months between 11 May and 31 August 2025.

Our expectations
- A suitable educational background for the role, such as being a 4th–5th year student in pharmacy or biomedicine.
- Proficiency in Finnish and good command of English, along with some familiarity with medical terminology.
- Strong IT skills and experience with information systems.
- Initiative, accuracy, and the ability to work effectively under strict deadlines.
Additionally, we value the ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks simultaneously and to contribute actively as a team member.

Our Phase1 trainees will be paid a monthly salary of €2370–2625, depending on the number of completed study credits. In addition, the Phase1 trainees are eligible to various employee benefits offered by the company.

Unit description
Quality management (QM) is responsible for ensuring the quality of materials, products and operations, as well as maintaining and developing the quality system and monitoring the regulatory environment. Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety unit is responsible for the global pharmacovigilance system of Orion Corporation and for the continuous safety surveillance, regulatory reporting and safety risk management activities of human and veterinary medicinal and non-medicinal products.
The QM function consists of about 350 experts who work in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality System, Method Development and the Pharmacovigilance & Patient safety unit. We are located in Espoo, Turku, Salo and Kuopio plants, in addition to the Quality Assurance team in India reporting dotted-line to QM.
Orion Pharma Pharmacovigilance Unit is responsible for the safety monitoring and reporting of human and veterinary medicines that Orion Pharma markets, represents, or has under clinical development. In Finland, we have a total of about 35 people. Our PV Case Management team consists of around 12 dedicated professionals responsible for handling human and veterinary ICSR/AE reporting to regulatory authorities and licensed partners, along with a variety of related tasks.
