Specialist, SoC/IP Modeling, 5G L1

Job Description:

We’re looking for a professional to be part of our design teams where you will be working with latest System-on-Chip (SoC) based processing solutions for Nokia 5G-NR (New Radio) and LTE base stations. Focus areas for your work would be related to:

• 5G L1 algorithm development, fixed-point modeling and fixed-point performance verification

• 5G L1 implementation on the world leading SoC based on latest technology ASICs and FPGAs

• Working with experts of different areas to ensure the most competitive solutions

• Cooperating with system engineers, HW/SW development, suppliers and other relevant functions to solve technical issues

• Supporting HW/SW bring-up and debug

More detailed planning of your role in the team will be done based on your current skill set and interest areas.

Additional Requirements:

You should be a person with several years of working experience in following kind of tasks and a person who masters following type of skills:

• Wireless/telecom receiver algorithm development

• LTE and/or 5G-NR know how

• Coding (Matlab, C++, VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog, UVM)

• ASIC, FPGA or low-level SW development

• Implementation of DSP functions on HW accelerators and/or DSP processors

• Fluent spoken and written English.

• Pro-activity, problem solving and communication in multi-site R&D environment

You don’t need to master everything, but you should already be an expert on some of the above mention topics. And finally, we are looking for an ambition to further develop as 5G L1 SoC and L1 algorithm expert!
