Description

Tapiola Sinfonietta is calling for applications for a tutti violin vacancy. The tutti violins play in both 1st and 2nd violin sections. We value positivity and overall innovative attitude. Audience outreach and chamber music in smaller ensembles are a vital part of the Tapiola Sinfoniettas activities and the musicians job description.

We consider each applicant that has submitted their application on time. The selection is made after the audition has finished. The orchestra selects the musicians to the audition based on the applications and the submitted video recordings. The audition is held in the Espoo Cultural Centre's Tapiola Hall (address Kulttuuriaukio 2, 02100 Espoo) on Thursday January 7, 2027 starting at 9:00 am. Friday January 8, 2027 is also reserved for the audition.

Working hours: 36 hours / week
This is a permanent position. The position has a 6-month probationary period.
*Basic salary: 3193,96e/month. On top of the basic salary, a compensation for recordings (5,4%) and chamber orchestra addition (at the moment 210,78e/month) are paid according to valid local agreements as well as possible experience-based extra compensation.
Total salary is approximately between 3580 and 3960 euros per month.

Competence requirements: Applicable university or college degree or other suitable education.

2. A free-choice piece or movement for solo violin by J.S. Bach, maximum 5 minutes

3. A free-choice piece for violin and piano, maximum duration 10 minutes

4. Chamber Music: String Quartet No. 19 in C major, K. 465 "Dissonance", Movement I (Adagio- Allegro), I violin
