Job Description Summary

GE HealthCare Helsinki site is a center of excellence for manufacturing healthcare equipment. The products from Helsinki are shipped to customers across the world every day, where they help support lives in the moments that matter.

We are looking for a Summer Intern to join our Export Shipping team for the summer, preferably from April to August. In this role, you will assist in outbound shipments, documentation, and processes. You will be ensuring that customer needs are met on time, and that company policy and international trade compliance regulations are adhered to.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and communicating shipment delivery requirements with freight forwarders
• Releasing orders from manufacturing to freight forwarders
• Preparation of export documentation
• Timely, accurate and complete record keeping
• Communicating between different stakeholders in a global setting
• Ensuring all processes and documentation are in accordance with GE HealthCare & Export compliance

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's or Master's student in the field of Logistics, Supply Chain or other related field
• Minimum age 18 years
• Previous experience of export shipping
• Excellent communication, problem solving and cooperation skills
• Flexibility, responsibility, eye for detail, able to work under pressure
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment
• Fluency in Finnish and in English (written and spoken)
• Good knowledge of basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
• EU Work permit

Desirable skills

• Oracle knowledge and experience
• Oracle Transportation Management knowledge and experience
• IATA DGR training/knowledge, transportation of dangerous goods by air
• Ability to support in development tasks
