Description
Japan Airlines is one of the World-renowned international airlines established in Japan in 1951. We have been operating direct flights between Helsinki and Tokyo since 2013.
We are looking for a hardworking, adaptable, communicative member to join our Helsinki cargo team to ensure the team's consistent delivery of high-standard safety, smooth and timely cargo operation at Helsinki airport. We expect you to start working with us in the first quarter of 2027 (the actual schedule for joining will be confirmed later).
Core tasks of this job:
Airline Cargo Coordinator's duties include the provision of safety and to contribute to maximizing the cargo revenue by coordinating the work of cargo handling stakeholders and supervising entrusted companies' work quality, as well as by taking care of office tasks related to cargo handling.
Your typical tasks are:
- Cargo handling preparation by coordinating information with stakeholders.
- Supervision of the work quality of stakeholders (following company's safety rules etc.).
- Confirming and inputting cargo data to JAL's systems in different stages of cargo handling process.
- Office tasks such as cargo accounting work and reporting.
- Dealing with customer claims/inquiries.
- Participation in meetings with cargo stakeholders.
What we expect from you:
Below is the list of what we expect from applicants:
- At least 18 years old and eligibility to work in Finland.
- At least a high school level education and at least 2-3 years of professional experience in cargo business.
- A clean background (standard security clearance is needed for working in the restricted area of the airport).
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Readiness to work on weekends and on national holidays as well as depending on the flight schedule.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications.
- Flexibility to expand your role, cross-train, and take on additional operational duties in the future as business needs evolve.
- Strong organizational skills, prioritizing skills, resilience as well as a strict safety mindset.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships within the team.
