Senior Engineer, RF

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced RF Engineer to design RF solutions to different embedded devices for our customers. This role requires strong experience in designing electronics devices, RF solutions and antennas including relevant schematics, simulation & layout work. Understanding of embedded solutions, including software, is important.

In this position, you will be working on a variety of embedded solutions as part of our team. This diverse role and our extremely diverse clients offer you a wide range of opportunities for development. It is possible for you to work based on your own strengths as we strive to consider your wishes regarding projects and your daily work.

The work can partially be done remotely but we expect you to be able to work in one of our offices (Espoo, Kuopio, Oulu or Tampere) or a nearby customer location, when needed.

Your main responsibilities

• Design and develop robust and maintainable RF and embedded electronics solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of RF, hardware and software components.
• Drive the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering to manufacturing and testing.
• Provide senior consultancy services to our customer offering expert advice and solutions.
• Perform practical hands-on work in a lab setting with electronic devices and circuit boards using debugging tools and measurement equipment.

Your skills and experience

• 10+ years of electronics development experience.
• 5+ years of RF design experience.
• Solid understanding of electromagnetic (EM) theory.
• Experience in concepting and architecting new products from electronics point of view.
• Familiarity with different radio technologies and wireless protocols.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

At Etteplan we ensure that your compensation is fair and transparent. Your salary reflects your competencies and contributions, in line with our way of working. For this role, the typical monthly salary is 4500-6000€/month, depending on your background.
