Description

HelloWork builds next generation Talent Operations practices and helps companies build teams. We're looking for a Data Architect to join one of our client teams in several nordic cities.

You'll be designing data systems that turn messy reality into organized, useful information. This means creating data architectures that make sense, stay maintainable, and help businesses improve.

What you'll do

• Design scalable data architectures for analytics, reporting, and AI use cases

• Work with business owners to understand their data needs and translate them into technical solutions

• Choose the right tools and technologies for data storage, processing, and analysis

• Set up data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR

• Create data pipelines that move information reliably between systems

• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to build modern data solutions

• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to implement your designs

• Help organizations migrate from legacy systems to modern data platforms

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of experience designing and implementing data architectures

• Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques and when to use them

• Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar)

• Understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and modern data lakehouse architectures

• Knowledge of complex ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline tools (Databricks, etc.)

• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases

• Understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory requirements

• Ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to data quality

• Experience with large organizations and complex IT environments

Nice to have

• Knowledge of real-time data processing and streaming architectures

• Experience with data mesh and decentralized data architectures

• Understanding of machine learning and AI data requirements

• Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools

• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices for data systems

• Experience with data catalog and metadata management tools
