Location: Kokkola

Work Model: Onsite

Job Type: Full-time

Skills: Customer Service Logistics Guide Loading Communication

Description

We are looking for a Route Planner to Kokkola!

As a Route Planner, you have overall responsibility for planning your drivers transport tasks within your assigned area and with the available capacity. You continue where Customer Service Planner leave off: once a transport has been sold and planned, you make sure it actually happens.

As the closest point of contact for your dedicated drivers and their loading units, you communicate load orders, follow up on the transport, and handle changes along the way. You stay in contact by telephone, email and web portals.

The job is teamwork. Together you look for the best solutions to support the drivers and meet the customers needs, while making the business more effective, reliable and environmentally friendly. It is also very independent: you follow your own trucks, make decisions quickly and deal with issues before they become problems.

Your responsibilities

Guiding the drivers

  • guide and support your drivers during their trips
  • pass on customer instructions and any changes along the way
  • keep the drivers up to date on ferry connections and schedules

Following up trucks and trips

  • follow up during the day to make sure trucks and transports run according to plan and meet the customers requirements
  • spot deviations early and solve them together with the planning side and the customer
  • look for ways to optimize trips and make good use of capacity
  • keep the information in ERP system up to date so the planners can rely on it
  • handle technical issues and service together with the Fleet department, the drivers and the planning side

You bring

  • an interest in logistics and transport
  • the ability to work independently and make decisions as situations change
  • a willingness to work closely with drivers, planners and Customer Service
  • clear communication, also when things get busy
  • a calm, solution-focused approach when plans change
  • the ability to communicate effectively in Finnish, Swedish and English
  • experience of transport, logistics or driving is a plus, but not required

What we offer

  • a varied role where no two days are the same
  • a thorough induction and colleagues who help you succeed
  • a secure workplace in a growing family company
  • a culture built on our values: total responsibility, openness and respect for the individual

The position is permanent. Salary is determined according to the Collective Agreement. In addition, the employee's competence and work experience are taken into account when setting the salary.
