HelloWork builds next generation Talent Operations practices and helps companies build teams. We're looking for a Full-Stack Developer to join one of our client teams in Helsinki.

You'll be building web applications end-to-end – creating user interfaces that people love to use and the server-side systems that power them. This means working across the entire technology stack to deliver features that solve real problems for users.

What you'll do

‍

• Build responsive web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue.js and Next.js

• Develop backend APIs and services using Node.js, Python, or Java

• Work with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL) to store and retrieve application data

• Implement user authentication and authorization systems

• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment

• Collaborate with designers to turn mockups into pixel-perfect, interactive user interfaces

• Optimize application performance for both frontend and backend systems

• Write clean, maintainable code that other developers can easily understand and extend

• Participate in code reviews and help maintain high code quality standards

What we're looking for

‍

• Experience building several commercially viable full-stack web applications

• Taste in product and UI. You have sense of what makes a great user experience and care about the details

• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and experience with modern frontend frameworks

• Backend development experience with Node.js, Python, or Java

• Knowledge of modern API design and implementation

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker)

• Knowledge of testing frameworks and practices for both frontend and backend

• Understanding of information security best practices

• Experience with GraphQL

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools

• Experience with mobile app development (React Native, Flutter)

• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques
