What you'll do

‍
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Databricks for processing business-critical data
• Design real-time streaming architectures with Apache Kafka for trading data and risk calculations
• Work with tools technologies such as Fabric, Snowflake, Terraform, Data Factory + others
• Set up monitoring and alerting for critical data flows
• Collaborate with end-users to understand their needs and build solutions that actually work for them
• Optimize database performance for high-frequency data ingestion using time-series databases
• Help migrate legacy systems to modern cloud-based data platforms

What we're looking for

‍
• Several years of experience building business-critical data systems
• Solid experience with the Databricks platform and Apache Spark
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming
• Experience working in the financial industry
• You read & write quality Python
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code

Nice to have

‍
• Knowledge of Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
• Familiarity with dbt for data transformation
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes
