We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an Energy Marshall to join our team in Finland

You have responsibilities including but not limited to being responsible for the overall energy isolation program management at the site for MEP energy. Accountability to ensure all activities related to the energy isolation process is coordinated and executed across the assigned location(s) according to established policies and procedures. Performance objectives should also include: 

Requirements

  • Develop and implement the site energy control strategy.
  • Manage the safe energisation and de-energisation of all electrical systems (LV/MV/HV) in accordance with permits and switching schedules.
  • Lead and chair daily/weekly energy control meetings, ensuring coordination across MEP, OFCI, commissioning, and GC teams.
  • Prepare and validate switching plans, method statements, and risk assessments for all electrical works.
  • Maintain live energy status boards and update logs of all energised systems.
  • Coordinate with representatives on energisation milestones.
  • Ensure all subcontractors comply with Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.
  • Manage and update energy permits to work in coordination with site EHS and QA/QC.
  • Train site staff and subcontractors in energy awareness, risk, and control processes.
  • Interface with commissioning teams to manage load bank testing, energisation of UPS, generators, switchgear, and critical cooling systems.
  • Provide input into risk registers and ensure mitigations are in place for all high-risk electrical activities.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in high-voltage / large-scale electrical projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of LV, MV, HV distribution systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, and protection systems.
  • Proven experience in switching operations, isolation procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Familiarity with energy management systems (BMS/EMS/SCADA) and ability to interpret control logic and interlocks.
  • Competency in fault-finding, protection coordination, and testing & commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Experience with arc flash studies, short circuit calculations, and electrical safety analysis.
  • Advantage if you have a strong understanding of data centre redundancy models (N, N+1, 2N) and implications on switching sequences.
  • Preferably level S1 i.e. able to work on any voltage or S2 which is up to 1000V
