Technology Standards drives innovation and intellectual property management. You will be part of a large global team of world-class technical patent specialists managing Nokia’s leading 5G and 6G standard essential patent portfolio. You will work closely with inventors and 3GPP RAN1/RAN4 standards delegates to identify and protect high value 5G and 6G inventions, from idealization to claim-charting phase. Besides, you will also work with the patent associates to create high-quality patents, extending your understanding (beyond the technology) toward patent prosecution. With your technical expertise and seamless link to patent prosecution and monetization activities, you will add further value in our world-class patent portfolio development. You will have technical ownership of the specific technology domain of the physical layer inventions/patents, e.g., physical layer design, MIMO, AI/ML for air interface, with massive business impact. Your responsibilities
Your skills and experience
- Master’s degree with research experience and/or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications.
- Strong technical background on physical layer wireless technologies and familiarity with cellular communication standards such as LTE and 5G New Radio.
- Ability to work proactively, multi-task and meet aggressive timelines.
- Invention/patent track record, preferably on physical layer.
- Experience on AI tools.
