About ISIC
ISIC, International Student Identity Card, offers over 150.000 student benefits in 130 countries around the world. Our purpose at ISIC is to increase intercultural understanding and educational opportunities for students, and to make student life better across the globe. We partner up with educational institutions and benefit partners to help us achieve these goals. ISIC is endorsed by UNESCO.
The team
In the Nordics and the Netherlands, ISIC Association is represented by student travel agency KILROY, and the ISIC team that serves all six markets is situated in Helsinki. Your employer is KILROY Finland, and your colleagues will consist of both KILROY travel agency staff and other ISIC Association members around the world. We work closely with Frank Student Services as well.
The ISIC team itself consists of four professionals with ambition to make the student life better and help broadening horizons for students. In our free time, we like to read, go biking and hiking, do crafts, drink tea & pepsi max, and to travel and meet new people when we can. Inclusivity, education and internationality at large are important values for us both personally and in our work.
We are looking for a part-time Support & Community Specialist to join us in making student life better in the Nordics. The position is located in central Helsinki.
About the position
The Support & Community Specialist is responsible for swift and accurate customer support in all six ISIC markets: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. The tasks include the daily approval of card applications and solving ISIC’s customer service requests together with a fellow Support & Community Specialist. Working hours are flexible so this is a perfect position for a student looking for part-time work.
A successful Support & Community Specialist gives swift, professional, and easily understandable service in fluent written English across all our channels. Depending on the Specialist’s personal interests, the tasks can later also include content creation or other support tasks, where they will receive additional training.
About you
ISIC is all about student life. We wish our Support & Community Specialist to be able to relate to students, their needs and behavior and have the following competences/background:
- Hands-on approach to problem solving
- Precision in written communication: ability to explain the solution to a student’s problem
- Organized, curious and development-oriented approach to work
- International mindset
- Fluency in at least one of the Nordic languages and most importantly, in English.
Experience in customer service and/or Salesforce Cases, speaking additional Nordic or Dutch languages, and living in another country as a student are advantages when applying for the position.
We offer
- A truly international working environment – you will be helping students from all Nordic countries and the Netherlands
- Flexible working hours
- A workspace in the heart of Helsinki
- An opportunity to work from home after the initial training
- A unique opportunity of working for an Association within a private company
- Driven colleagues who strive for inclusivity and take their work seriously, while having a moment for a good laugh too
- Introduction program with the possibility of growing expertise in other fields in ISIC’s scope.
The process
We will review all applications during the application period and begin to do short first-round interviews as candidates who match our profile appear. We will notify all applicants on the week following the end of application period as to the next steps. Altogether there will be three rounds of interviews, and we hope to conclude the process latest by the end of June. We are aiming for the right candidate to begin their work on Tuesday August 4th, but are ready to be flexible with the schedule - finding the right people for the team comes first.
