Senior GL Accountant

About the Role

As a Senior General Ledger Accountant, you will own the close and reporting for our German parent entity, including HGB statutory financial statements, and take responsibility for additional entities like Singapore. You will turn multi-entity activity into reliable financial statements while strengthening controls and documentation as we scale. This is a 6-month full-time engagement.

What You Will Do

• Own month-end close for the German and one additional entity, including journal entries, accruals, fixed assets, and variance analysis.
• Prepare HGB statutory financial statements for the German entity, including notes (Anhang) and asset registers.
• Support both IFRS and local statutory audits by preparing documentation and resolving auditor questions.
• Run the group close cadence by maintaining the close calendar and improving checklists.
• Act as an escalation point for complex GL topics and non-standard transactions.
• Strengthen controls and documentation by improving reconciliations and accounting procedures.
• Partner across teams to simplify processes and support automations.

What You Will Bring to the Role

• Significant hands-on experience in GL accounting and end-to-end month-end close ownership.
• Hands-on experience preparing German local GAAP (HGB) financial statements and supporting statutory audits.
• Professional fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
• Practical experience preparing IFRS reporting packages with a strong control mindset.
• Strong systems proficiency: ERP work (NetSuite preferred) and close tooling (FloQast preferred).

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience with Zip administration or other procurement and spend tools.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency accounting in an international environment.
• Experience working with European entities and local compliance requirements.
• A track record of process improvement or automation projects in Accounting.
