Job Description Summary

We are seeking a junior Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of experts developing software for our Premium Monitoring products at our office in Helsinki, Finland. Your team will contribute to product programs that enhance the functionality of existing solutions and drive the development of new patient monitoring technologies.

In addition to engineering leadership, your role will include Product Owner responsibilities for your team—ensuring alignment between user needs, product goals, and execution.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Execution & Delivery

• Understand user needs related to future patient monitoring products within the team’s scope.

• Translate these needs into actionable work items for product development programs.

• Collaborate with program teams to plan and prioritize work to meet program objectives.

• Drive the team’s execution to align with agreed schedules and deliverables.

Process & Productivity

• Align team workflows with processes agreed upon with program and product owners.

• Champion continuous improvement in software development practices, tools, and platforms to reduce inefficiencies and accelerate delivery.

• Advocate for Lean/Agile principles and cultivate a culture of learning and innovation.

Talent & Collaboration

• Attract, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers.

• Support individual growth through coaching, feedback, and career development opportunities.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a STEM discipline.

• Proven experience leading teams in the development of high-quality software products.

• Using modern software development processes, tools, and best practices.

• Experience applying AI to improve software development processes

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.

• Ability to inspire, set clear expectations, coach team members, and foster a positive, inclusive culture.

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

• Eligibility to work in the EU.

Desired skills

• Master’s degree in the field of Software, Electronics, Biomedical, or equivalent

• Experience with the Carescape Software Platform (CSP), Qt framework, and patient monitoring technologies.

• Familiarity with clinical workflows and environments.
