Do you want to be our next Event and Marketing Trainee in our incubation team VTT LaunchPad?

As an Event and Marketing Trainee in the autumn of 2026, your key goal is to assist in the planning and coordination of various startup events where VTT LaunchPad participates and in the marketing of these events, as well as VTT LaunchPad, on different channels. Additionally, you support the VTT LaunchPad team in daily operative tasks. In this position, you will have an essential role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that our participation in startup events reach the desired outcomes in fluent stakeholder collaboration.  

Our team VTT LaunchPad offers an internal incubation program that helps create ambitious, fundable startups based on VTT technologies. Please note the traineeship takes place in the autumn (approx. mid-August to mid-December).  

What would your responsibilities as an Event and Marketing trainee include?

• Startup event planning and coordination together with the VTT LaunchPad team, incubation teams, other VTT stakeholders, and external service providers. 
• Active marketing and communication on different channels with internal and external stakeholders. 
• Schedule planning, meeting and event arrangements internally. 
• Supporting the VTT LaunchPad team in daily operative tasks. 

We're looking for someone who has:

• Event planning and organising skills. 
• Good communication skills and proficiency in social media communication. 
• Personal interest in startups, innovation, and venture capital. 
• Strong soft skills and is easily approachable. 
• Drive for assisting others at achieving greatness. 
• Attention to detail. 
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Are proactive team member and independent self-starter with a can-do and problem-solving attitude. 
• Have good documentation and administration skills.

All VTT Summer of Changemakers traineeships are paid, and the salary is determined based on study credits: for Master's students the monthly salary is between 2650€ and 2850€, and for Bachelor's students the monthly salary is between 2150€ and 2450€. The typical duration of traineeships is between 3 and 6 months, with start dates usually falling between March and June, however the length and the exact starting date can be discussed with the hiring team.
