Summer Trainee in HW R&D

Description

As part of a team, you could be contributing to: 

  • Hardware Design & Optimization: Contribute to Mechanics, Thermal, Power Amplifier, Digital Pre-Distortion, Layout, Signal Integrity simulation, Power Supply/Powering, or Structural analysis/ Finite Element Method design activities and radio unit Design/Specification/Bug fixing.
  • Hardware Verification & Testing: Provide R&D and maintenance testing support, including failure investigations, test automation development, and specialized reliability/environmental/RF testing.
  • Maintenance Management & Engineering: Assist the maintenance engineering team with lab work, testing.
  • Data Engineering & Analytics: Support data engineering efforts, perform manual analyses on defined data sources, and contribute to test automation development or full-stack development initiatives.

Your skills and experience

  • You are fluent in English (written & spoken)
  • You have on-going studies in a relevant field of study

 

For hardware related tasks, it will be beneficial if you have at least some of the following competences:  

  • HW design 
  • HW Simulation 
  • HW test automation design 
  • Verification / testing with 
    • various hardware testing equipment 
    • test automation software solutions

  • You understand the basics of hardware development, hardware testing methods and automation 
  • You are great in problem solving 
  • You are eager to learn more and interested in working on a variety of different tasks as part of your job including business and customer relevant activities. 
  • You are ready to share your knowledge and skills among the people you work with — you are a team worker but also efficient on independent tasks

Kindly note that to be able to work as a trainee in Nokia Finland, you must hold an active student status and be located in Finland since international relocation support is not available for trainee positions.
