Summer Trainee in Supply Chain and Packaging Design

Material Management and Supply Chain Management are responsible for material availability in short-term time horizon by managing and continuously developing the supply chain to fulfill customer expectations. These organizations are also accountable for Inventory management, supplier collaboration and total landed cost. 

Your responsibilities

As a trainee for Buyer Product Programs you will learn and contribute to: 

  • Material availability for new product programs
  • Supplier collaboration
  • Inventory management
  • Invoice error clarification and resolution

 

As a Purchasing Project Manager trainee, you will be participating in and learning about the following responsibilities:

  • You will have the front row seat for all the activities of ensuring purchasing capability creation, such as ensuring materials for prototypes, the ramp up and start of volume deliveries.
  • You will be part of the Purchasing Capability Creation project team
  • You (together with the team) will drive the selection of suppliers and materials and take care of program material design review practices. 
  • You as a project manager will be maintaining up-to-date lists of new technologies, key suppliers, and key materials.

 

Through work as a trainee for Packaging Solutions Team, you will learn and contribute to:

  • Design product packages for new HW products and variants from R&D
  • Redesign packages if needed due to product changes or cost-saving initiatives
  • Review & Comment Packages designed by our partners
  • Ensuring quality in packaging design phase 

 

In the roles, you will work closely with the supply chain as well as other operations functions, such as production, R&D, different suppliers or other external stakeholders.

Your skills and experience

It would be beneficial if you had at least some of the following competences: 

  • Strong communication skills and comfortable working in a multicultural environment (also in English, both verbal and written)
  • On-going studies in relevant areas, ideally Engineering or Economics
  • Carrying out work according to specific instructions
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) interest
  • You are eager to learn more and interested in working on a variety of different tasks as part of your job including business and customer relevant activities. 
  • You are ready to share your knowledge and skills among the people you work with — you are a team worker but also efficient on independent tasks.

 

 As some specific requirements for the Packaging Solutions team, you should have:

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical design, ideally know-how about Packaging
  • Capability to design 3d CAD and creation of engineering drawings
