About your role

We are looking for a Vice President, Corporate Communications, Brand and Public Affairs to lead a significant transformation of how Orion Pharma communicates, builds its reputation, and engages with its stakeholders globally.

This newly established role is central to that journey and directly supports our strategic ambition for further global growth.

As Vice President, you will set the direction for a unified, world-class Communications, Brand, and Public Affairs function. You will work closely with the Executive Team and senior leaders across the company to shape Orion’s narrative, ensure alignment between strategy and communication, and build trust with our key stakeholders. This is a highly influential leadership role with the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on how Orion presents itself to the world.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead and further develop Orion Pharma’s global Corporate Communications, Brand, and Public Affairs strategy in line with the company’s long-term business and growth ambitions
  • Build and lead a high-performing, integrated function that brings together communications, brand, and public affairs into a coherent, collaborative and impactful multicultural unit 
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to executive and senior leadership on reputation, stakeholder engagement, policy, and communications matters
  • Drive the development of a strong, consistent company voice across public, policy, and internal communications
  • Strategic Communications: Strengthen strategic, science and innovation communication, oversee issues management, crisis communications, and media relations at a corporate level
  • Brand Stewardship: Lead the development of a compelling brand identity and vision ensuring consistent messaging across all digital, traditional and social platforms
  • Public/Governmental Affairs: Lead the development and execution of strategies to influence public policy and legislation to protect organizational interests
  • Internal capability building: ·Establish modern ways of working, platforms, and tools that enable efficiency, quality, and impact across the communications function. Build internal capabilities and reduce reliance on external agencies through long-term competence development
  • Advocacy & relationship management: Champion Orion Pharma's stance on key issues in legislative and public forums and networks, when appropriate.

Our expectations

We are looking for a seasoned leader with a strong strategic mindset, sound judgment, and the ability to inspire others.

You bring:

  • Extensive senior-level experience in corporate communications, public affairs, corporate affairs, or related leadership roles, ideally within pharmaceuticals, life sciences or healthcare
  • A proven track record of leading complex, international communications, advocacy and reputation agendas
  • Strong understanding of brand, governmental processes, legislative frameworks and public policy, as well as stakeholder engagement in a global context
  • Experience advising executive leadership including governance and disclosure responsibilities in a Finnish publicly listed company environment
  • The ability to translate business and scientific strategy into clear, compelling, and credible communication and advocacy actions
  • Strong people leadership skills, with experience building and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish; additional languages are an advantage
