Team Lead - Mobile SDK

You’ll lead our FSSDK team (F-Secure SDK), which builds and maintains the shared mobile SDK platform used across multiple F-Secure products and integrated by major global partners — including Tier 1 communications providers and financial institutions. The SDK enables consistent, scalable delivery of scam protection and other security capabilities across Android and iOS applications.

The team is currently simplifying and modernising the SDK structure — reducing legacy complexity, improving reliability, and supporting smoother delivery across multiple product teams. Your role is to create clarity, strengthen processes, support decision-making, and ensure the team has what it needs to deliver high-quality releases with confidence.

In this role, your core responsibility is leading and enabling the SDK team — bringing structure, predictability, and technical understanding to support people in their work. You don’t need to write production code, but a solid background in mobile development (Android and/or iOS) will help you understand decisions, facilitate alignment, and collaborate effectively with domain leads, architects, and product teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and support the SDK team (Android, iOS, QE) through regular 1:1s, coaching, and day-to-day collaboration
• Ensure clear and predictable ways of working by strengthening processes, release practices, and cross-team coordination
• Work closely with domain leads and architects to support technical alignment and smooth decision-making
• Collaborate with product, programs, and services teams to clarify requirements, dependencies, and partner integration needs
• Contribute hands-on when needed (e.g., reviewing, testing), while keeping team leadership as your primary focus

What are we looking for?

• 7+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years leading engineering teams and delivering complex technical products
• Deep expertise in mobile development (iOS and/or Android) with strong SDK architecture knowledge and proficiency in mobile languages (Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java)
• Proven technical leadership with ability to oversee architectural decisions while building and motivating high-performing teams
• Partner integration experience working with external customers on technical implementations with strong API design and developer experience understanding
• Strategic project management skills using Agile methodologies, balancing long-term vision with short-term delivery needs
• Excellent communication abilities to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences and collaborate across organizational boundaries
• Security and CI/CD expertise including understanding of mobile security concepts, automated testing for SDK releases, and version management strategies

Bonus points for:

• Experience with cybersecurity products or security SDKs
• Background working with Tier 1 telecommunications providers or financial institutions
