We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer (React Native) to join this fast-moving, highly autonomous team based in Helsinki. About the team

We’re F-Secure’s New Products and Innovations team — leveraging F-Secure’s proven security technologies while pioneering new consumer experiences, tools, and product concepts.

We're small by design: a cross-functional unit of engineers, designers, and product thinkers with autonomy to explore, prototype, and deliver at startup speed. Everyone is hands-on — there are no management layers, no one on the sidelines. We all ship, contribute directly to the product, and own outcomes together. We cut through bureaucracy, make decisions fast, and focus relentlessly on what matters most — building consumer experiences that feel intuitive, human, and trustworthy.

Scams have become an industrial-scale problem run by sophisticated criminals, and for ordinary people, even experts, it’s getting harder to tell what’s real. We’re building something that restores confidence and peace of mind — replacing fear, confusion, and shame with clarity, protection, and support. Every feature we ship can help someone avoid losing their savings or recover from an attack. That real-world human impact is what drives us.

We aim for MLP — Minimum Lovable Product — not just viable. Every prototype must earn its place in consumers’ hands by solving a real problem beautifully.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll be part of a small team owning everything from prototype to production. You'll design, build, and evolve the client experiences that power our product — from React Native UI and Rive animations to SDK integrations (Kotlin/Swift) and optimizing performance to perfection.

Your work will touch millions of consumers and directly shape the evolution of our product concept: a seamless “safety net” that helps people prevent, protect, and recover from scams with confidence.

Your day-to-day may include:

• Building React Native features and flows from concept to production
• Implementing fluid animations (Rive), smooth interactions, and careful performance optimization
• Driving a rapid internal alpha → beta (10k+ users) → production delivery rhythm
• Integrating new technologies (AI, SDKs, etc.) into real user experiences
• Collaborating closely with designers and frontend engineers to prototype, test, and iterate
• Shipping features to real users every week — and learning fast from their feedback

What are we looking for?

We’re not looking for someone to maintain existing systems — we’re looking for a builder. Someone who thrives on turning uncertainty into clarity, prototypes into production, and ideas into impact.

You’ll do well here if you have:

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade mobile applications
• Hands-on experience with React Native and Expo and mobile developmet
• Familiarity with Swift and/or Kotlin for when you need to go beyond React Native
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, experimental environment with tight feedback loops
• Strong sense of ownership — you build, you test, you ship, you learn
• Curiosity, pragmatism, and a bias toward action

Bonus points for:

• Experience with consumer-facing products or cross-platform app backends
• Experience with Rive or similar animation tools for creating polished, fluid UI experiences
• Backend development experience with Node.js and AWS for full-stack collaboration
