Situated in the heart of the Arctic TreeHouse Hotel, Rakas Restaurant & Bar charms with its unique ambience and menu of meals made from fresh local ingredients prepared with a modern twist. We offer our guests a unique dining experience and are passionate about ensuring quality dining under the warm glow of pine cone lamps and stylish interior design. The name of our restaurant is Rakas, which is Finnish for beloved and perfectly describes our understanding of what great food should be - local food with love.
SantaPark - The Home Cavern of Santa Claus is an indoor Christmas-themed park filled with activities, attractions, and experiences. One of the main attractions is Kota Café, where customers can enjoy a delicious buffet lunch and Bakery where Mrs. Gingerbread welcomes our guests to her very own bakery! We ensure that guests can spend the whole day in the park with a full belly!
The Kitchen team ensures extraordinary dining experiences by creating delicious food portions. Their professionalism, ingredient knowledge and consistency can significantly enhance the dining experience for customers.
Pastry Chef duties include:
- Baking cakes, pies and other delicacies
- Pastry preparation
- Recipe development
- Ensuring that all baked goods and desserts are visually appealing and presented attractively
- Dessert plating an quality control
- Adapting to special requests
- Monitoring food cost and waste, striving to minimize both
- Inventory and ordering
- Following safety procedures
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Following the regulations and rules
General requirements
- Hygiene pass
- Culinary skills and knowledge
- Previous experience from a similar role (minimum of 3 year)
- Suitable educational background
- Fluent English language
- Ability to legally work in Finland
- Capable of completing work tasks independently as well as working in a team
- Ability to take responsibility and maintain the highest level of standards
- Problem-solving skills and you are self-driven
- Good communication skills
