Description
Shelf Stocker
About Us
Ykskasi Oy provides tailored food and beverage services to private offices in Helsinki. With us, you'll enter a work environment that stands apart from the ordinary — one enlivened by internationality and collaboration across a wide range of industries. Our goal is to help build a well-functioning whole while also giving individuals room to shape their own work. Flexible and consistent working hours, excellent opportunities for growth, and a commitment to a long and stable career are things we don't compromise on.
Job Description
As a shelf stocker, you are responsible for ensuring the availability and quality of snacks and refreshments. An ever-changing product range and creative solutions for keeping workplace hunger at bay make the job fresh, different, and fun. Creativity and a genuine interest in food are more than welcome. We aim to move away from the conventional and think outside the box — without losing sight of responsibility.
Daily tasks include unloading deliveries, product display, and ordering. You keep the shelves tidy, follow food safety practices, and make sure the right things are available in the right place at the right time.
You ensure that services and products meet the set standards even in changing situations, and you make independent decisions regarding quality and sales performance.
Cleanliness and an organised working environment are the foundation of everything — you understand their importance and maintain them consistently.
Prior familiarity with coffee machines isn't required, but since caffeine is a valued currency, maintaining them is also part of the daily routine.
You help the people around you whenever needed — whoever that may be.
What We Expect from You
- A proactive attitude, a positive mindset, and good common sense
- Proficiency in English (working language) and the ability to read Finnish (for products and ordering channels)
- Self-direction and decision-making ability — the work is carried out largely independently, though help is always available
- Basic knowledge of food products (ingredients, allergens, labelling)
- A valid hygiene passport
- Good collaboration and communication skills
- Organisation, the ability to structure your work, and an understanding of both the details and the bigger picture
- Good physical fitness and a pair of trainers
- Prior experience in a similar role, such as in retail, is considered an advantage — but full training is provided
What We Offer
- A unique work environment where every day is at once the same and different
- Good opportunities for advancement and support for personal development
- A work community focused on staff wellbeing and team spirit
- A starting salary of €2,300–2,500
- Morning-focused working hours, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day
- Additional workplace-specific benefits
