Location: Finland

Work Model: Onsite

Job Type: Full-time

Description

Juki Tours Oy is a tour operator based in Levi, Finnish Lapland. We build tailor-made Lapland holidays for the German-speaking, British and US markets. We are looking for a full-time tour guide for the winter season 2026-2027 to run our own private tours. Every tour is for one party only: no shared groups, no timetable-driven mass programme.

Your tasks

Evening northern lights tours: you drive a 7-seat minibus (Mercedes-Benz V-Class), read the weather and aurora forecasts and choose the location yourself. The tour lasts as long as the northern lights require, not by the clock.

Snowshoe tours in Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park and the surroundings of Levi

Ice fishing tours on nearby lakes

Every tour is private: one party at a time, 2-6 people. Guiding language English, German for German-speaking guests if you speak it.

Airport transfers between Kittilä Airport and accommodation, and transport of guests to activities and excursions in the Levi area

Equipment maintenance and tour preparation (snowshoes, ice fishing gear, snacks, vehicle)

Pick-up and return of guests at their accommodation in Levi

We require

Category B driving licence and confident driving in winter conditions, in the dark and on snowy forest roads

Fluent English: our guests come mainly from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK and the USA. German is a significant advantage

First aid training (EA1 or equivalent)

Wilderness skills: fire making, navigation, knowledge of equipment, working in the cold

Strong customer service attitude: on a private tour you are with the party the whole time

Initiative: you work alone on the tours and are responsible for the group

Entrepreneurial mindset: a small company where the work is varied

An advantage

Northern lights photography experience. We will train you for the role.

Previous guiding experience in Lapland

We offer

Fixed-term full-time employment 1.12.2026-17.3.2027

Salary: by invoicing 27 €/h, 30 €/h between 20:00 and 06:00. If employed, 2600 €/month plus a late-hour supplement of 1,38 €/h between 20:00 and 06:00 (Finnish collective agreement for the programme services sector)

Work clothing and equipment provided by the employer

Small team, direct contact with the owner, a real say in how the tours are run

How to apply

Send a free-form application and CV by email. Interviews are held during the application period, so apply as soon as possible. Application deadline 30.11.2026.
