Etsimme lahjakkaita ja motivoituneita väitöskirjatutkijoita rakennetun ympäristön tiedekuntaan määräaikaisiin työsuhteisiin enintään neljäksi vuodeksi 1.1.2020 alkaen. Tiedekuntamme koostuu arkkitehtuurin ja rakennustekniikan yksiköistä.  Väitöskirjatutkijoiden tutkimusaiheet voivat liittyä mihin tahansa tiedekuntamme tutkimusaloista.

TEHTÄVÄ

Väitöskirjatutkijan tehtävänä on suorittaa tohtorin tutkinto Tampereen yliopistossa rakennetun ympäristön tohtoriohjelmassa. Tutkinnon tavoiteaika on neljä vuotta ja työsopimus voidaan tehdä 1–4 vuodeksi. Työsuhteen pituus määräytyy opiskelutilanteen ja valmistumistavoitteen perusteella.  

Väitöskirjatutkijan tehtäviin voi sisältyä väitöskirjatutkimuksen lisäksi osallistuminen opetukseen tai muihin tiedekunnan tehtäviin, jotka tukevat hänen opintojaan. Näiden tehtävien osuus voi olla enintään 5 % kokonaistyöajasta.

EDELLYTYKSET

Väitöskirjatutkijan tehtävään valittavalta edellytetään ylempää korkeakoulututkintoa. Ennen työsuhteen alkamista väitöskirjatutkijalla on oltava jatko-opinto-oikeus Tampereen yliopiston rakennetun ympäristön tohtoriohjelmaan sekä hyväksytty opinto- ja tutkimussuunnitelma.

Valinnan perusteena on:

- tutkimussuunnitelman tieteellinen kunnianhimo, laatu ja innovatiivisuus

- tutkimuksen soveltuvuus tiedekunnan tutkimusprofiiliin

- hakijan ansiot

- näytöt motivaatiosta ja kyvykkyydestä suorittaa tohtorin tutkinto.

TARJOAMME

Tehtävät täytetään määräajaksi enintään neljäksi vuodeksi 1.1.2020 tai mahdollisimman pian sen jälkeen.

Tehtävän palkkaus sijoittuu yliopistojen opetus- ja tutkimushenkilöstön palkkausjärjestelmän vaativuustasokartan vaativuustasolle 2-4 riippuen tutkimustyön vaiheesta. Lisäksi maksetaan henkilökohtaiseen suoriutumiseen perustuvaa palkanosaa. Tehtävässä on 6 kk koeaika.

We are looking for highly qualified and motivated doctoral researchers to join the Faculty of Built Environment at Tampere University for fixed-term positions up to 4 years starting 1 January 2020. Our faculty is made up of two units: Civil Engineering and Architecture. The successful candidates will be able to explore topics relating to any of the research fields of our faculty.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The goal of a position of doctoral researcher is to complete a doctoral degree in the Built Environment Doctoral Programme at Tampere University. The aim to complete the degree is 4 years and doctoral researchers are hired on a fixed-term basis for up to 4 years. The exact length of the contract will depend on the current stage of your studies and your expected graduation date. 

Besides conducting research for your dissertation, your position may include teaching or other duties in the faculty related to your studies. These duties may not exceed 5% of your overall working hours.  

REQUIREMENTS

We expect candidates to hold an applicable master’s degree. Before the beginning of employment, candidates are expected to have been admitted to the doctoral programme administered by the faculty of built environment at Tampere University and accepted research and study plan. 

When considering candidates, we will focus on the following:

• ambition, scientific quality and innovativeness of the research plan
• feasibility of the proposed research
• merits of the applicant  
• demonstrated (during studies towards the master’s degree or otherwise) competence and motivation to successfully complete a doctoral degree

The positions will be filled for a fixed-term period of up to four years starting on 1 January 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter. 

The salary will be based on both the job requirements and the employee’s personal performance in accordance with the salary system of Finnish universities. According to the criteria applied to teaching and research staff, the position of a doctoral researcher is placed on level 2-4 of the job requirements scale. A trial period of six months applies to all our new employees.
