Rovio’s Puzzle Studio is a leader in mobile casual games and is looking for an experienced game lead to lead the development of a new game.

Puzzle studio is the home of the passionate team behind Angry Birds Match, Angry Birds Friends, the newly launched Angry Birds Dream Blast, and other unreleased games currently in production. The studio strives to create puzzle games that are instantly fun, but that can also turn into years-long hobbies. Puzzle Studio is also exploring new ways to use narrative and character worlds in casual mobile games, with the aim of creating a true emotional connection that stays with players even when they’re not playing.

Our new games pipeline consists of promising puzzle games – some with Angry Birds, some with other themes and IPs. As Game Lead you will lead an early-stage game team all the way from concept through to live service.

Your responsibilities as Game Lead:

• Evaluate market opportunities for the puzzle genre
• Own and lead the vision of the game
• Build and lead the game team
• Be a prime motivator for the game team. Be hungry to get to market
• Own the game roadmap
• Own the game profit & loss
• Be the key spokesperson for the game and collaborate with other teams
• Determine the most effective ways to acquire, retain and monetize players, and own product marketability.

What we are looking for a person who:

• Delivered a F2P mobile game from concept to live service
• Understands puzzle market and direct competitors
• Understands puzzle game players very well
• Understands game production
• Held commercial responsibility in freemium/F2P business
• Is an analytical decision maker who feels at home with the F2P market
• Strong people skills, high level of integrity, and a genuine drive to bring the best out of teams
