Do you want to be part of the team building the future payment solution?

Working for Nets, you’ll become part of an exciting growth journey. We’ve set out to make it easier and more intuitive to handle payments, because we see it as the foundation for growth and progress both in commerce and society.

Together, we can power the future as a European payments champion
Our team at Nets is developing a next generation payment application and now we want to strengthen our forces with a tester who has expertise also in test automation. This application will be running in hundreds of thousands payment terminals and used by tens of millions people per day! Security, stability and quality assurance are the key elements when talking about payments - in the end it can be also your personal money at stake. Test automation is a crucial part of the agile development process and we must find ways to use our physical test robots in the best and most effective way so that manual testing can be precisely focused where applicable. And yes - we do indeed have physical test robots. If this sounds interesting then read further.

Shortly said - in this role you will:
•Perform test planning and execution of both manual and automated test sets.
•Build and maintain automation test cases.
•Maintain compliance with policies, procedures and methodologies for product quality and solution validation.
•Be the active advocate of a good quality in your scrum team.

In order to succeed you must have:
•Several years of hands-on experience in software development (in QA role).
•Knowledge and experience of modern test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Robot Framework)
•Understanding of agile and DevOps ways of working.
•Skills to identify when manual testing is better than automated - and vice versa.
•Competence in exploratory testing and understanding the importance of it.

You should also identify yourself from these phrases:
•Proactiveness. You don't sit in quiet but instead enable and drive the QA work actively.
•Inquisitive. You have a never-ending eagerness to learn more, search for new information and bring it alive in practise.
•Doubtful. You don't believe it until you've (tested and) seen it.
•Communicative. You communicate actively with the stakeholders and other scrum team members. You know the correct questions to be asked and the current state of the product quality.

Please also note these things when applying:
•Prior experience from payment terminals or payment domain is considered as a major plus.
•Practical experience from some programming language (e.g. Python) is a plus.
•In case you're applying from outside of Finland/EU then mention if you have a valid work permit. Having permit in advance is a huge plus.
•Proficiency in one of the Nordic languages (Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish) is appreciated but not mandatory.

If you're still hesitating then here are few things why we think Nets and this team is the best place to be right now:
•We own our products. Feel the excitement, freedom and accountability of your end product.
•Social impact. Our products have a huge social impact in the modern society.
•Agility. The only thing which matters is the customer experience with the highest possible security. Everything else can and must be optimized.
•Engineering mindset. We've even built our very own test robot for the payment terminals as team wasn't happy with the commercial solutions.
•Flexibility. Excel during the working hours but cherish the time off from work.
•FinTech. Payment industry is currently one of the fastest developing ones. Payment terminals and mobile payments are here for now but how would you like to pay in the future..? We're in a position to make it happen.
