At the beginning of 2017, KONE announced its strategy, Winning with Customers, in order to differentiate and to bring new levels of customer centricity and value adding services and solutions to its customers. One part of the strategy is Accelerate Winning with Customers program which is creating a faster-moving, customer-centric organization that leverages scale efficiently in a rapidly changing environment. We are now half way through this change program and our focus is especially needed in ensuring the new operating model practices are taken fully into use and we are implementing new initiatives continuously and across all countries.

We are now looking for a Program Coordinator to support leading the Accelerate program for Sourcing – focusing on improving our Strategic Sourcing and Operational Purchasing processes supporting our country organizations for a period of 12 months.

The Program Coordinator aims at improving customer centric capabilities, speed and efficiency by supporting a successful implementation planning and deployment of the programs implementation streams with special focus on operational purchasing. The role supports the Transformation Leader in managing the transformation journey and collaborates closely with KONE’s Sourcing management team members and KONE WAY change managers in all Area/FLs and ensures smooth cooperation towards the global central transformation office.

The location for the position is Espoo, Finland.  The position requires some travelling.

 Main responsibilities

  • Support the Transformation Leader in driving the Sourcing transformation program globally – ensuring change of ways of working, culture and mindset.
  • Work continuously with the central transformation office to ensure sourcing transformation is aligned well with the overall transformation program.
  • Work and collaborate with key stakeholders in Sourcing on ensuring implementation of new ways of working.
  • Support the implementation of changes in ways of working especially in operational purchasing as the key focus area together with the project manager for this stream.
  • Support the representation of transformation program in cross-program meetings and towards KONE management.
  • Work and collaborate with change managers in Area and FLs to ensure that project information and roll-out plans are updated, country organizations are aware of change initiatives and support resolution of issues.
  • Create communication, change and training materials for the transformation program within Sourcing and towards other functions.
  • Prepare, run and facilitate regular info sessions within Sourcing community.
  • Prepare steering meetings and executive reporting meetings about the program
  • Prepare transformation cost planning and forecasting.
  • Contribute to KPI development and reporting.
  • Contribute and keep Sourcing functions operating model updated together with Sourcing process owner.
  • Support the creation of KONE WAY project documentation for implementation of workstreams.

Work experience

  • Previous experience in project, program and change management in global environment
  • Understanding of KONE business globally and in front lines is an asset
  • Knowledge of KONE Way operating model, KONE Way project model and KONE change management approach is an asset
  • Previous background in Sourcing and especially in operational purchasing considered an advantage

  • Strong ability to work independently and proactively propose solutions to new issues/problems
  • Strong ability to quickly capture new topics and independently contribute to these.
  • Strong skills in working with stakeholders in different roles/functions.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and fact based decision making skills
  • Strong skills in preparing presentation & communication materials and calculations
