The KONE IT Digital support operations team is consisting of horizontal functions aiming to support the operations of the various Product and Platform development teams that together form the Digital Services. The development teams are situated across 24/7 connected services, enhanced asset and People Flow insight solutions amongst other products contributing to KONE's implementation of digitalized services via IoT, analytics and other innovative technologies.

We are now looking for a Development Manager, Digital Support Operations to join the KONE IT Digital Product support operations team. You will be part of the team that oversee and coordinate the end-to-end support operations processes and resources across all product and platforms. As we are in an ever-changing environment, this role is emphasising continuous improvement, development of the build & test processes together with stakeholders from various DevOps teams. A crucial aspect is to drive automation across the full product and platform lifecycle. You will be supporting the Product's Value Streams by identify areas of improvement and find solutions and automation opportunities to ensure maintenance, support and operations of DevOps tools and platforms.

It will also be your responsibility to ensure the integrity of the continuous delivery pipelines, collaborate with experts in the development and test teams, release managers, monitoring team, service and support managers to together enable fluent communication and feedback flow. It is expected you will stay up to date on current technology and ways of working, i.e. automation frame-work, cloud technologies, DevOps processes and digital business platforms. This role is highly adaptive in nature, and you will have a great opportunity to affect the direction of your own work as well as influencing the continuous improvements in the support operations area.

Description of the role:

- Responsibility of the support operations scope of Build & Test management processes

- Responsibility for ensuring coverage, quality and up-to-date communication and documentation

- Drive process improvement and automation across relevant process and solution designs in scope

- Drive change towards optimal configurations according to product and platform architecture

- Provide expertise, support and guidance to external parties and suppliers, as well as internal teams

- Work closely with R&D, product and platform teams, local and global suppliers

- Maintain and contribute to process and tools in scope of global outsourcing partners and suppliers to achieve agreed objectives

- Contribute to development of new and existing solutions and technical artefacts

Experience that would suit the position:

– Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant field, i.e. IT science/ engineering

– 5+ years of experience in relevant IT industry

– Experience and very good knowledge of DevOps processes

- Experience in driving and developing automation, across end-to-end solution/ product delivery

- Experience of leading and coordinating work in a task-force of specialists and experts

- Development and/ or Testing experience in a DevOps environment

- Very good knowledge of build/ test tools and platforms, CI/CD pipeline, configuration management tool-set, cloud technologies

– Knowledge and experience of working in a service and operations environment

- Experience of working in virtual teams in a multicultural environment

- Experience in project work and project management methodologies is a plus

- High confidence in your own expertise and knowledge

– Outstanding collaboration and communication skills in English (written & spoken)

- Ability to managing all related development, administrator and support activities

- Passion for simplification of solutions, problem solving and making users’ life easier
