Gas Solutions is seeking a Business controller to join us in delivering services growth. The GS Services team will sell, provide and deliver life cycle services to its global customers as an end to end business offering a unique business controller opportunity. Service offering include long term service agreements, retrofit/upgrade projects, training services, field services, technical services and spare parts.

“Business Controller” will ensure together with colleagues in Gas Solutions the full control of the Gas Solutions Services business globally in terms of financial numbers and relevant (key) performance indicators and forecast the future in accurate manner. The controller will provide accurate and timely management reports. Follow up the transactional invoicing execution. Proactively flag possible gaps in performance that need to be closed and suggest possible improvement actions to be taken. Strongly influence the GS Services actions plans as a member of Gas Solutions Services management team.

Preferred locations: Asker, Norway; Gdynia Poland; Helsinki, Finland. Other locations are possible, within European time zone.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that financial information complies with Corporate and local rules and regulations (corporate manual, accounting manual, local legislation, directives, etc.)
• Provide accurate, timely, reliable and high-quality management reporting regarding the business performance
• Co-define long-range plan and action plans for GS Services
• Define, improve and follow up (key) performance indicators
• Coordinate rolling forecasting and consolidate overall global GS Services estimates
• Follow up and push the realization of targets set forward in long-range plans, action plans and forecasts
• Propose and implement actions that improve the profitability/performance of the business
• Secure that investment in GS Services are in line with the strategy and action plans
• Automate and harmonize as much as possible of the reporting and sharing of financial data by utilizing digital solutions and eliminating manual work in line with the OE principles
• Follow up of the WIP & invoicing execution for the transactional service offerings
• Work in close co-operation with colleagues elsewhere in Gas Solutions to secure accurate forecasts and full view of actuals covering sales, costs and profitability for GS Services business globally
• Support in ad hoc projects and development actions, which require financial competence and support

Desired skills

• Used to delivering top-quality work according to deadlines and expectations
• Fluent spoken and written English

Having experience in business control role related to Services/Aftermarket business covering activities like sales and delivery of Service Agreements, Service Contracts, Field Services and Spare Parts is considered highly beneficial for this position
