We are looking for an IT Service Delivery Manager for UPM Biorefining who will be responsible for the maintenance, development and compliancy of local, regional and global IT solutions. The position is located in Pietarsaari, Finland.

“Your role will be part of a team of SDMs carrying out similar duties for their responsible areas in UPM Biorefining, UPM Energy and UPM Plywood businesses. Moreover, our team is part of the global team which consists of a wide range of cultures, backgrounds and skill-sets to access and develop from. You will assist in the governance of our ecosystem of key vendors including external, internal, on and off-shore international partners responsible for infrastructure and application services to our end customers, the business. What you’ll do

You will ensure that location specific IT and related business knowledge is maintained and documented. The IT Service Delivery Manager will also contribute to budgeting and cost control. In addition, you will co-ordinate IT development projects for assigned UPM locations. Bi-directional communication with business and IT stakeholders is a key expectation of the SDM role.

• Coordinate all UPM IT Services for UPM Biorefining locations like Pietarsaari Pulp Mill and sawmills of UPM Timber in Finland
• Maintain, develop and comply with local IT solutions
• Initiate development needs and manage the actions for applications and infrastructure in responsible locations
• Manage the interface with local business and act as a single contact point
• Strive for continuous improvement and solicit customer feedback to improve service
• Manage local service providers and participate in the governance of global service providers
• Ensure that end-to-end technical site knowledge is secured / existing (documented)
• Manage defined budgets for local solutions/components including related cost control

Who you are

• You have at least 5 years of experience working with IT technical and application solutions
• You have at least 5 years of experience and demonstrated knowledge of infrastructure technologies (i.e. LAN, Data Centers, Workstation infrastructure, Telephony)
• You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
• You have experience of manufacturing related business processes (i.e. production, quality, warehouse, dispatch operations) and mill environment knowledge
• You have a strong service mindset and you demonstrate a positive and productive attitude
• You have solid understanding of IT Service Management processes and practices
• You possess strong verbal and written communication skills and are fluent in Finnish and English
