SUSTAINABILITY SPECIALIST

About the job

The role of the Sustainability Specialist is to develop our sustainability offering towards process industry sector clients together with our global sustainability virtual team. This interesting position will offer the possibility to grow experience and expertise in this growing specialist area.

The main tasks of Sustainability Specialist will be

• Developing sustainability work, both in-house and in client projects, by implementing sustainability criteria into practice in all areas of process design
• Research and review of regulatory, technical as well as market issues related to sustainability
• Deepening the understanding into sustainability by educating and training sustainability aspects to people – both internally and externally
• Participating in client projects as Sustainability Specialist

Who you are?

We are looking for

• Process technology understanding (either forest industry, chemicals, biorefining or mining & metals) with relevant academic degree, preferably Master's Degree
• 2-3 years’ experience in sustainability-related tasks (environmental, side-streams, CO2, etc.), preferably in process industries sector
• Collaborative and team-oriented way of working, capability to act in virtual teams across the wide global organization
• Excellent Finnish and English written and verbal communication, presentation and influencing skills
• Person who finds new ways of doing things – a person whose mind-set naturally reflects safety and sustainability and who has passion to develop sustainability understanding

We value a can-do and hands-on attitude with curious mind and positive drive. We don’t expect that you are ready expert in this special expertise area.
