Haemme väitöskirjatutkijoita kasvatustieteiden ja kulttuurin tiedekuntaan määräaikaisiin työsuhteisiin enintään neljäksi vuodeksi 1.3.2020 alkaen. Hakijalla on oltava jatko-opinto-oikeus Tampereen yliopiston kasvatus ja yhteiskunta –tohtoriohjelmassa (opinto-oikeutta ei ole mahdollista hakea tehtävän haun yhteydessä). 

Tehtävänkuvaus 

Väitöskirjatutkijan tehtävänä on suorittaa tohtorin tutkinto Tampereen yliopistossa kasvatus ja yhteiskunta -tohtoriohjelmassa.  

Väitöskirjatutkijan tehtäviin voi sisältyä väitöskirjatutkimuksen lisäksi osallistuminen opetukseen tai muihin tiedekunnan tehtäviin, jotka tukevat hänen opintojaan. Näiden tehtävien osuus voi olla enintään 5 % kokonaistyöajasta. Väitöskirjatutkijoita kannustetaan myös toimimaan yhdessä eri tavoin oman tutkimusryhmänsä ja väitöskirjatyönsä ohella. 

Edellytykset 

Väitöskirjatutkijan tehtävään valittavalta edellytetään  

• ylempää korkeakoulututkintoa 
• jatko-opinto-oikeutta Tampereen yliopiston kasvatus ja yhteiskunta –tohtoriohjelmassa (opinto-oikeutta ei ole mahdollista hakea tehtävän haun yhteydessä)
• hyväksytty opinto- ja tutkimussuunnitelma 
• tutkinnon suorittamisen yhteydessä tai muutoin osoitettua kykyä ja motivaatiota jatko-opintoihin ja tohtorintutkinnon suorittamiseen

Valinnassa painotetaan hakijan tieteellistä lupaavuutta tutkijanuralle. 

Tarjoamme 

Tehtävät täytetään määräajaksi enintään neljäksi vuodeksi 1.3.2020 alkaen. Työsuhteen pituus määräytyy opiskelutilanteen ja valmistumistavoitteen perusteella.   

Tehtävän palkkaus sijoittuu yliopistojen opetus- ja tutkimushenkilöstön palkkausjärjestelmän vaativuustasokartan vaativuustasolle 2-4 riippuen tutkimustyön vaiheesta. Lisäksi maksetaan henkilökohtaiseen suoriutumiseen perustuvaa palkanosaa. Tehtävässä on 6 kk koeaika.

Hakuohjeet 

Jätäthän hakemuksesi yliopiston sähköisellä lomakkeella (linkki löytyy tämän ilmoituksen alta). Hakuaika tehtävään päättyy 7.1.2020 klo 23.59. Hakemukseen tulee liittää PDF-muodossa alla mainitut liitteet. Hakemus ja liitteet kirjoitetaan englanniksi paitsi tutkimussuunnitelma, jonka voi kirjoittaa suomeksi tai englanniksi riippuen siitä, millä kielellä hakija aikoo kirjoittaa väitöskirjansa. 

• Ansioluettelo Tutkimuseettisen neuvottelukunnan (TENK) ansioluettelomallin mukaisesti 

• Päivitetty tutkimussuunnitelma,  jonka laajuus on enintään 2500 sanaa pois lukien lähteet
   
  Tutkimussuunnitelma laaditaan seuraavan rakenteen mukaisesti:
  - Otsikko
  - Tutkimussuunnitelman yhteiskunnallista relevanssia koskeva johdanto
  - Tutkimuksen kannalta olennaisimman akateemisen kirjallisuuden käsittely  
  - Keskeiset tutkimuskysymykset, jotka on johdettu kirjallisuuskeskustelusta
  - Metodologinen viitekehys, aineistonkeruu ja eettiset kysymykset
  - Tutkimuksen tieteellinen kontribuutio valittuun kasvatustieteen alaan
  - Lähdeluettelo (enintään kaksi sivua, ei sisällytetä tutkimussuunnitelman kokonaissanamäärään)  

• Ajantasainen opintosuunnitelma, joka sisältää tiiviin kuvauksen väitöskirjatutkimuksen nykyvaiheesta sekä suunnitelman ja aikataulun jatko-opintojen ja väitöskirjatutkimuksen toteuttamisesta 

• Motivaatiokirje (enintään 600 sanaa), jossa kuvataan ytimekkäästi
  - perustelut, miksi hakija on valmis sitoutumaan valittuun kasvatustieteen erikoisalaan sekä hakijan uratavoitteet
  - miten hakijan tutkimusintressit liittyvät tiedekunnassa tehtävään tutkimukseen

• Kaksi suosituskirjettä (enintään 1 sivu), jotka ovat ohjanneet hakijaa tai työskennelleet hänen kanssaan väitöskirjatutkijan työn kannalta relevanteissa tehtävissä.  Suosittelijat toimittavat kirjeet hakuajan päättymiseen mennessä osoitteeseen edu-hr.tau@tuni.fi.

Job description

The goal of a position of doctoral researcher is to complete a doctoral degree in the Doctoral Programme of Education and Society at Tampere University. 

Besides conducting research for your dissertation, your position may include teaching or other duties in the faculty related to your studies. These duties may not exceed 5 % of your overall working hours.  Doctoral researchers are encouraged to interact in a reciprocally supportive way to facilitate knowledge construction and collegial relations beyond one’s own research group and dissertation topic.

• applicable master’s degree
• right to pursue a doctoral degree in the Doctoral Programme of Education and Society (please note that there is no possibility to apply for a new right before this call ends)
• approved study plan and research plan
• ability and motivation to work towards and complete a doctoral degree, as demonstrated during prior studies towards a degree or otherwise

The positions will be filled for a fixed-term period of up to four years starting on 1 March 2020. The exact length of the contract will depend on the current stage of your studies and your expected graduation date. 

The salary will be based on both the job requirements and the employee’s personal performance in accordance with the salary system of Finnish universities. According to the criteria applied to teaching and research staff, the position of a doctoral researcher is placed on level 2-4 of the job requirements scale. A trial period of six months applies to all our new employees.

• Updated research plan (maximum 2500 words excluding references)
  
   The research plan must be written using the following format: 
  - A title
  - An introduction to the societal relevance of the plan
  - A discussion of the most relevant academic literature
  - Key research questions stemming from the literature discussion
  - Methodological framework, data collection and ethics
  - Scientific contribution to the area of specialization
  - References (not included in the total word count of 2500 words, but not exceeding two pages)
   
• ·Up-to-date and concise study plan, including a description of the progress made so far and of the plans and schedule for completing the doctoral studies and the dissertation
  
  
• Motivation letter (maximum 600 words), describing succinctly
  - what makes the applicant ready to complete a doctoral degree in the selected area of specialization within educational sciences and what are the applicant’s future career goals
  - how the applicant´s research interests converge with current research in the faculty 

• ·Two reference letters (max. one page), written by academics who have supervised or worked with the applicant in an academic or employment context. The letters are sent by the referees to email address edu-hr.tau@tuni.fi by the application deadline.
