This position is part of the KONE International Trainee Program (ITP) and is an internship for university students or recent graduates. International Trainee, Idea flow process assistant, Hyvinkää, Finland

KONE Idea Flow project aims to give all KONE employee an ideation voice. We will start Idea Flow piloting and  Implementation globally in early 2020. The target is that each of KONE employee is able to ideate and there are proper processes and tools enabling that. This is more of a cultural change, how to create process and pull so that everybody feels that ideation is useful to my team and organization and my ideas count. Target is not that we will get lot of new ideas to our research and development department, but to ensure that most of the ideas are managed and used locally and with existing process and practices in our frontlines and factories. 

To support the Idea Flow piloting and  implementation, we are looking for a trainee who gets inspired about innovation and could support us in various initiatives in implementation.

TEAM DESCRIPTION

 You will be part of an international team of experts working in a matrix in different functions of KONE, including Research and Development, Human Resources, and global frontlines, to name a few. Your home base will be in the heart of Research and Development, where new solutions are created and processed. Your nearest Manager is the Project Lead for KONE Idea Flow.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 Your main responsibilities include supporting the whole implementation process, tweaking the current tools and methods to induce ideation and to aid in facilitating in ideation workshops. During your assignment you will also measure the culture of innovation at KONE to see how KONE ideas flows and how innovation is perceived by over 50 000 employees word wide. Your task is also to document the learnings of the implementation journey and to ensure vital feedback and improvement ideas are part of the implementation’s success.

• Need to have a understanding of Innovation processes and practices
• Good understanding of Project Management.
• Expected to be a self-starter, motivated, innovative and adapt to changes.
• Candidates passionate about developing processes and practices further
• Need to work closely with Frontlines, Global units, Research and Development to develop process
• Actively participating in discussions and reviews
• Demonstrating benefits with focus on big picture and customer needs.
• Collaborating closely with other development teams,  partners, project managers and stakeholders
