UPM Human Resources (HR) proactively develops capabilities and culture that enable business success. It brings people topics to business and decision making, provides services, processes and tools for managers and employees to their daily tasks, development, rewarding and well-being at work. Business HR is the HR partner for management teams, managers, and employees. Group HR is responsible for people related concepts and their development. HR Services delivers HR services to employees via online tools and global HR service centers.

What you’ll do
During your Graduate path you will get to know all parts of HR organization; Business HR, Group HR and HR Services. You will work with HR topics for HR and business leaders and participate in employer branding and communication projects in UPM Group HR.
You will:
coordinate and support implementation of UPM people processes
participate in HR related projects, including capability and people development as well as compensation & benefits
participate in planning and implementing HR communications to different stakeholders
do a project combining your learnings in different roles in UPM HR
As a Graduate, Human Resource you will be mainly located in Helsinki, Finland. During your 1-year-trainee path you will have additional assignment in Finland and elsewhere in Europe.
Who you are
You have university degree from relevant field of studies
You have prior knowledge and practical experience of HR processes and/or tools
Previous experience with Workday system is considered as an asset
You are enthusiastic about a career in Human Resources
You have a good business understanding and a strong customer-oriented mindset
You have a solid sense of confidentiality and discretion
You are skilled in communication, both verbal and written and master communication tools and social media
You have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate well at all levels
You are able to work independently and achieve given timelines and targets
You have excellent technical skills in basic office software, e.g. MS Office
You have fluent skills in Finnish and English, other languages are considered as an asset

UPM Graduate Programme is a paid fixed term position, but our aim is to continue the journey with you even after the programme.
