At Danfoss Editron we are currently looking for 2 Lead Engineers based in either our Dutch offices in Rotterdam and Heerenveen or in our office in Helsinki Finland. The lead engineer position is a key position within Danfoss Editron and plays a critical technical role within our marine system delivery projects. You create and will manage project’s technical documentation and you will be the main (technical) contact for our internal and external stakeholders. From time to time, traveling to our clients and or sub suppliers locations and or projects is to be expected. Ensure the best technical available solution is given within the existing budgets granted to the projects.Your day to day activities and responsibilities will consist of creating and manage the technical documentation of the projects. Subjects belonging to the documentation are: functional descriptions, requests for quotations (RFQ) of 3rd party components, HAT and SAT protocols. Seek solutions for technical challenges and manage the technical designs within the project team. Participate and or support with the Harbour and Sea trial acceptances and be involved with the technical communication with our 3rd party suppliers and our Danfoss factory specialists. Seek and optimize technical improvements, so we can continue to improve and develop renewed and more cost-efficient system deliveries.  Background and skillsTo be successful in this position you need to an educational background in electrical and or automation engineering. Preferably a bachelor and or master’s degree combined with a minimum of 2 years working experience with electrical system design projects in an international environment. Additionally, we would like to see:

  • That you are a team player, able to communicate and collaborate in a professional manner with your colleagues and with the stakeholders;
  • Being able to think systematically, demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and are able to prioritize tasks;
  • Be motivated and self-driven and are willing to travel for work (between 30 to 40%);
  • Have good knowledge and experience working with MS Office, AutoCAD or E-plan
