We are now looking for a

WIND ANALYST
to join our Wind and Solar Power & New Energy Systems team in Finland. The person we are looking for is passionate about renewable energy and dedicated to seek and find the solutions for tomorrows electricity demand.

Your profile:
You have already experience in working as a wind analyst and you are able to apply your skills to wind and production analyses and related working tasks. You are familiar with both linear and CFD models and understand how these can be applied in wind analysis. Besides, you are eager to develop your own skills and AFRY’s methods as the field of wind analysis is developing. Furthermore, you are curious about other aspects in onshore and offshore wind power and ready to work with variety of tasks regarding wind power.

You enjoy working in project environment where you handle several projects at the same time. Your performance gets even better under pressure. You are fluent in English, all other languages are beneficial. Good communication skills are expected both within AFRY’s organization and with clients.

Requirements:
• Applicable Master of Science or PhD degree (e.g. meteorology, wind power or atmospheric physics)
• Experience of handling wind measurement data
• Understanding of linear and CFD wind modeling
• Fluent in English
• Good communication skills
• Interest towards renewable energy

About your new working environment:
Wind and Solar Power & New Energy Systems department is part of AFRY’s energy division in Finland. This team handles the technical aspects in clients’ wind power projects in close co-operation with other AFRY teams, such as Environmental Consulting, Management Consulting, and Land Use Planning. The projects are located mostly in Finland and Sweden, but there are possibilities to additionally work in projects around the globe. Close co-operation especially with Swedish colleagues is expected.
The team is located in different AFRY offices in Finland. Your home office can be in Kittilä, Rovaniemi, Kemi, Oulu, Kajaani, Kokkola, Vaasa, Kuopio, Äänekoski, Varkaus, Jyväskylä, Jämsä, Tampere, Pori, Imatra, Lappeenranta, Lahti, Kouvola, Kotka, Turku, Vantaa or Hanko.

Besides your own team, you will be supported by your colleagues in your local office and around the world.

You are expected to travel approximately one day per month, mostly in Finland but also abroad to some extent. Starting date will be defined according to mutual agreement.
