We are now looking for a 

Information Specialist

to join Aalto University’s Research Services, Open Science and ACRIS team.

Our team maintains the research information management system, ACRIS and helps researchers to register their research outputs and activities in the system. We advocate open science, and advise especially on open access publishing. We support researchers on research data management issues by arranging trainings and registering metadata of research data in ACRIS. Some members of the team have specialized in conducting bibliometric analysis in collaboration with the leadership services.

The detailed tasks of the position are defined based on the skill and interest set of the chosen person.

Your skills

You learn to use new information systems quickly, and you are quick and careful in inserting and analyzing data. Preferably, you have experience in training, or are at least willing to develop your training skills. Especially research data management requires networking skills and ability to collaborate with researchers and representatives of service organization. You have MSc in a suitable field (e.g. information studies, information system sciences). We appreciate work experience in a suitable field.

You have excellent communication skills, and your command of both written and verbal Finnish and English is excellent. You are customer oriented and your way of working is based on problem solving. You are at home both with routine and development work.

You are part of Aalto Research Services and work closely with other teams of the unit, IT, data agents and Legal Services.
