We are now looking for a Project Support Engineer to join our service-minded Customer Delivery team working for a better future.

Location: The preferred location for the position is in Vaasa.

What you will be doing in this position:
Your work will include the preparation of Customer documentation, Purchase Order Specifications, and answering Customer questions. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independence, as you will have the support from Project Engineers and Design Engineers.

  
For us to be the best match, we expect you to have basic technical understanding and experience from working in teams. As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from previous work at Wärtsilä and have a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a technical University. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you have a strong desire to gain new knowledge and apply it with systematic accuracy.  

As Project Support Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:  

• Support and co-ordinate tasks and actions within Project Execution. 
• Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of project specific documentation for the Customer and other project stakeholders.
• Support in internal and external ordering processes, i.e., generate Internal Order Specifications, Purchase Order Requests and Notifications
• Co-operate with the project team and report in all aspects to the Project Manager and Project Engineer.
• Provide technical support to customer in project execution stage and in pre-project stage when requested.

In this role, some travel might be required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel on occasion, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
