Are you our new Senior Site Reliability Engineer?

We are now looking for two Senior Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) in our global Enterprise Infrastructure Services team. We are responsible for providing production and R&D infrastructure related services for the whole of F-Secure on multiple platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, VMware and others. With transition from on-prem to the cloud nearing the end, we need your expertise in optimizing and improving availability of services and efficiency of tooling and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring availability and reliability of services we run in production internally and facing end users
• Proactively support our R&D DevOps teams by providing and maintaining reliable infrastructure and tools they need
• Use leading (sometimes bleeding) edge technologies in various initiatives, heavily investing in automation of operations
• Lead in planning and implementing changes to infrastructure with the goal of enhancing performance and improving R&D productivity
• Perform Cost-benefit and Return On Investment analyses for existing and proposed systems to aid in making informed implementation decisions

What are we looking for?

You need a good "Can do! Will learn!" attitude and good tolerance of bad humor. If, in addition, you're able to stay calm when everything is burning around you there's a good chance you could be our future team member. We're looking for a person with:

• Excellent communication and team-work skills as well as customer‑friendly service attitude
• Experience in operation of a mid- to large-sized environments
• Prior R&D background is beneficial for being successful in this job, we automate a lot and knowing tools and processes is important
• Version control, scripting and coding experience (Git, Bash and Python mostly)
• AWS hands-on experience
• Linux administration, troubleshooting and maintenance experience
• Experience on configuration management (e.g. Ansible)
• Understanding of cyber security and knowledge of security practices
• Fluent written and spoken English (Finnish is not required)

This is a full-time job which can be done from one of the following office locations: Helsinki, Oulu, Kuala Lumpur or Poznan.
