Job Description

Are you interested in working with data management in a global company?
We are looking for a Summer Trainee, to join our service team in Metso Valves organization. Valve services operates globally and we are located in more than 20 countries by over 400 professionals helping our customers. 
 
We also own and manage valve related installed base data. Through installed base data, we help Metso sales and service personnel, to support customers improving plant reliability and safety. Installed base data management consists of different activities and applications support to enable smooth end-to-end business processes form inquiry to delivery and beyond; problem solving, data management and systems integration. We work closely with other teams, e.g. R&D, engineering, operations and sales. 
 

To Succeed

We are looking for a student (M. Sc.) in e.g. Engineering, IT or Industrial Engineering. Basic level knowledge of manufacturing industry (product data; items, bill of materials, attributes) and how the product data is used in systems (ERP, PDM) for manufacturing is a benefit.
 
To be successful in this position you have:
•         Excellent communication skills and good teamworking skills
•         IT orientation and willingness to learn IT skills
•         A problem-solving and analytical mindset
•         Eagerness to learn and develop yourself
•         Fluent skills in English or Finnish.
•         Experience from working with databases or ERP’s are seen as an advantage.
•         Basic programming skills preferably SQL (gained from studies, working, or hobbies)
