GE Healthcare, a leading global health technology provider, has strong presence in Helsinki. In the Vallila district, we are 700+ people from over 25 countries, helping healthcare providers improve patient care. EU Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS 2) has been amended with four more substances and is required from Medical Devices in July 2021. We’re now looking for a summer intern to contact suppliers and ensure compliance towards standards.

Essential Responsibilities

Work on gathering and maintaining data for amended RoHS 2 compliance of GEHC HKI medical products
Identify the compliance status of items
Contact suppliers for RoHS certificates
Collect evidence from suppliers
Update GE electronic tools and the status of overall product compliance

Qualifications/Requirements

1-3 year Bachelor / Master student in Technical/ HW Engineering/ Engineering field
Fluent in English, both written and oral
Experience in Office 365 tools, especially Excel

Desired Characteristics

Understanding in regulated medical business
Understanding in RoHS
Understanding of materials, especially plastic materials
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical components
