System Verification Engineer

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic System Verification Engineer to join our team in Helsinki. The System Verification Engineer will play a key role in planning, executing and coordinating test activities to verify software for Varian’s treatment planning and management system as well as interfaces to all connecting treatment devices that literally save cancer patients' lives.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Design and execute test cases for system verification in the radiation treatment planning and management software including treatment on the actual treatment device.
- Design and execute special test scenarios such as end-to-end system tests, compatibility (interface) tests, upgrade tests and performance tests.
- Define test environment requirements based on the verification scope, order and reserve virtual (software, system) as well as physical (test lab, treatment machines) test environments as preparation for the actual verification activity.
- Create, track, retest and close defects based on failed test execution and during explorative testing
- Summarize and report test results, create traceability reports and make recommendations for software releases.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proficient in manual test design and test execution of medical device application, experience in using radiation therapy devices would be a plus.
- Experience in test management software and preferably in an agile/scrum environment.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel abroad 2-3 times per year.
Typical Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 5 years of related experience or Master’s Degree with 3 years of related experience.
