Danfoss Drives R&D is looking for an Application Software Engineer who will be part of our customer-oriented Application Team that is in charge of application software development for our main products and customer specific application products in different customer segments, such as elevators, cranes, marine, and energy. You can be located either at our Vaasa or Tampere office.
You will be contributing to Danfoss Drives’ strong market position and help further gain competitive advantage. Your main responsibilities include:
- PLC/IEC61131-3 programming using either Programming engineering tool or Model Based design, Matlab+ simulink (depends of experience).
- Creating user document data for manuals.
- Technical support for applications (Expert support).
- Creating specifications of applications based on customer requirements.
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering. Other technical area with similar competence is also possible.
- A few years of experience within some automation segment (Industrial-, Energy-, Process- or Building automation) is an asset.
- Experience of AC drives or electrical motors is an asset.
- Previous experience in Model Based Design or programming is an asset.
- Fluency in English.
- Good communication and social skills.
