We’re looking for a Data Engineer for the Elisa Data & Analytics team to work together with our talented Architect, Data Engineers and Scientists.

Job description

Your main project would be designing and implementing data integrations between different systems and engineering many kinds of solutions for data handling and machine learning. These complex systems require skills from networking, data integration, architectural design and strong coding experience.

What we expect from you:

• An enthusiasm and a desire to take responsibility for the progress of projects and get things done in a challenging and diverse work environment
• Strong linux skills and platform management experience
• Proficiency in coding, databases and experience with modern software development technologies, atleast some of the following: Java, Python, Ansible/Puppet/etc., Docker, Kubernetes, REST, Kafka, SQL and Information security. Full stack understanding is required.
• A self-starting, open and quick way of doing things and the ability to inspire others through your own actions and attitude
• Several years of experience of working at a system level and work experience in demanding software or system development tasks
• An understanding of the operation of systems as a whole
• The ability for both independent planning and decision-making
• Good interactive skills and fluent proficiency in English
• At least 5 years of working experience in Finland due to the security clearance
• We will perform a legitimate security clearance on the chosen candidate due to sensitive data
