Tampere Site is the heart of Drilling within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions business area, and the main competence and manufacturing center for three Divisions: Surface Drilling, Underground Drilling, and Digital Mining Technologies. Site Business Control team is now looking for an analytical and proactive Controller. The position is full time, permanent and located at Tampere, Finland where Sandvik has a global technology and manufacturing center for mining equipment.

Your role

As a Controller you have a key role in monthly closing and reporting process as well as driving continuous improvements in financial performance. You prepare and analyze financial data for monthly reporting and quarterly forecast in co-operation with the controlling team. You provide financial support and guidance to selected businesses and functions. Together with the team you drive budgeting and forecasting within your responsibility area ensuring accurate financial estimates. You also participate in development projects to improve and simplify the reporting tools and processes.

About you and what we find important

We are looking for an experienced finance professional with a suitable degree in Finance, preferably in accounting or business Management. You work effectively in a team and have a passion to develop financial systems and reports. Your way of working is proactive, collaborative and efficient and you are able to understand the context and the big picture. Our ideal candidate is a service-minded team player with flexible and can-do attitude. Good communication (fluent in Finnish and English) and strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to prioritize and keep deadlines are also essential. Advanced Excel skills are required, and Power BI knowledge and interest is a benefit. Experience of Lean or MS Dynamics 365 ERP systems is an advantage as well as experience of finance system related development projects.
