We are now looking for a curious and energetic trailblazer to head our global marketing and communications team. If you are our next executive vice president for marketing and communications, you will be based at our seaside corporate offices in Espoo, Finland, just a stone’s throw away from Helsinki, the happiest city on the planet. You will report to our CEO and be part of our executive board.

As head of global marketing and communications, you will lead and inspire a diverse and talented team of professionals dedicated to building a strong global brand through customer-oriented, digital marketing and communications initiatives. The team supports KONE’s business lines in their go-to-market strategies and in the marketing of products, services and solutions. It is responsible for internal and external communications, and for customer process development. Together with human resources, global marketing and communications works to develop KONE’s inclusive culture and brand as an attractive employer.

This position is both strategic and hands-on: you will oversee the alignment of marketing and communications efforts and processes throughout the wider team in countries across the globe; you will bring strategic brand, marketing and customer insights to the executive board; you manage individuals in an inclusive and fair manner that motivates the people in your team to perform at their best.

Your main responsibilities and key activities as EVP, Marketing and Communications:

  • Inspiring, leading and developing the marketing and communications function and talent at KONE
  • Envisioning and initially defining future potential market size and target customer groups with business lines
  • Developing KONE’s go-to-market strategies together with business lines
  • Proactively positioning KONE in the market
  • Strategic marketing: comprehensive 360 marketing plans for markets, verticals, segments and co-marketing with partners
  • Lifting KONE’s digital marketing capabilities to a new level through successful demand creation for KONE’s new services and solutions
  • Owning and developing KONE’s customer process, including demand creation, customer engagement models and sales model development, together with business lines
  • Leading KONE customer experience and Customer Loyalty  Surveys together with business lines
  • Generating revenues via marketing activities that include leads-to-sales conversion, digital sales capabilities
  • Leading global external and internal communications, with special focus on strategy communication
  • Ability and desire to represent KONE, the KONE brand and key messaging on the global stage
  • Being accountable for the success of KONE’s marketing and communications initiatives and budgetary responsibility to ensure the allocated resources bring in revenue and add to positive brand recognition

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A future-oriented mindset and a passion for customer centricity and the utilization of digital tools to create value for customers

• Excellent and demonstrable leadership skills and a desire to engage talent and help individuals develop and flourish

• Ability to navigate and lead in a global matrix organization

• Cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity in all its forms

• Strategic, commercial and business acumen

• Excellent language and communication skills, including the ability to address a wide range of audiences in an engaging and inspiring way

• A curious mindset and willingness to listen, learn and continuously develop yourself

• A solid track record of leading branding, marketing, communications and customer process functions in a global organization

• Experience in leading marketing and communications activities for an organization undergoing large business or other transformations

• Experience on developing digital marketing and sales models for solutions and value added services

• An established network of global media relationships and other relevant stakeholders is  considered an asset
