Cybersecurity incident response expert, focus on digital products and IoT 

Are you experienced in handling cybersecurity incidents and do you have an interest in making real-world impacts? We need your help to keep smart cities cybersecure. 

Now you have an opportunity to join KONE cybersecurity team as a Cybersecurity incident response expert, with a focus on our products and IoT solutions. You will work together with professionals globally to ensure that our advanced KONE digital solutions remain cybersecure in an increasingly hostile threat environment. 

Our Cybersecurity Operations team works to ensure that threats are detected and acted upon promptly to maintain customer and end-user cybersecurity and safety. We are continually developing our capability, and you will assist this development process in DevSecOps mode to ensure that our monitoring capability is fit for purpose and current. We are using modern tools such as Splunk and QRadar. 

You will be responsible for managing cybersecurity incidents affecting KONE products and services, working closely with KONE’s product development and support teams, through the incident lifecycle.  

You have an ability to communicate to various audiences and you can both deal with the big picture as well as with details. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating actively with others and you are happy to help others. The position is located in Espoo or Hyvinkää, Finland. Some travel (10%, between the Hyvinkää and Espoo locations) is included. 

Responsibilities 

  • Senior participation in cybersecurity incident response team activities, covering enterprise IT, factory and digital/IoT product spaces 

  • Act as escalation point for more challenging cases 

  • Liaise between our security monitoring capability and service owners to manage detected incidents through to resolution 

  • Engage with continuous development of cybersecurity monitoring and incident response capabilities 

  • Ensure that our monitoring of IT, OT and IoT services is aligned with current threats and the needs of KONE’s own environments 

  • Focus on our products and IoT 

  • Maintaining the list of external vulnerability information sources. 

  • Receiving external vulnerability information. 

  • Performing initial threat assessment based on the received information, initial assessment of the threat severity and business impact. 

  • Create vulnerability alerts to relevant development teams on critical issues. 

  • Following up on the alert responses so that assessment/resolution time frames are maintained. 

  • Monitoring the overall situation of vulnerabilities per product release. 

  • Preparing reports which show the overall vulnerability status per release. 

  • Escalating issues to Business Owners on need basis. 

  • Educating Development teams and Product Owners.  

  • Supporting Development teams and Product Owners on need basis. 

  • Coordinating possible product security incidents. 

  • Recommending security improvements to be included in security policies and creating minimum security requirements, hardening guidelines, security testing, etc. 

 

Requirements                                                              

  • Experience in PSIRT or CERT/CSIRT teams is strongly beneficial. 

  • Experience in cybersecurity, either from IT or product perspective. 

  • Ability to communicate complex technical matters effectively using modern tools. 

  • Fluent written and spoken English
